Random Happenings

Yet another post of random happenings at the Raines house...

Alyssa icing her first cakes baked in the Princess oven.

Looking good in blue...Go Bears!!

Entertaining "Mousie" for lunch...he is sitting on the books so he can reach his food. We have a house full of imaginary people everyday, fun until you have to set a place for them at the table, or actually give them food (usually pretend food will work :)

Aiden has found 2 new spots for climbing...here &

here...YEA!! (Total sarcasm). Not good considering he did fall off a kitchen chair last week pretty hard :(

Playing in the tent.

Fun...

until Aiden climbs on top of the tent! Check out his "what did I do?" expression.

Princess Alyssa taking pictures with her fans. She even taught Aiden how to shake hands as she goes around telling us "It's so nice to meet you, have a nice day."

Do they still sell the Flowbie? He would apparently enjoy getting his haircut that way.

Happy Anniversay to us!

Today Todd and I celebrate 7 years of marriage!! I cannot believe how much my life has changed. He is such an amazing man and an awesome father! I can go on and on, but will leave it at this. These past years have been the greatest and I cannot wait to see what else God has in store for us.

P.S. Todd said I amaze him to0...it amazes him that after all these years I still don't put any money in his cards (hahaha!).

I love you Honey!!

Poll

I know, two posts in one day. This one is just a poll:

Does she look like a Princess or a Garden Gnome?

Alyssa's 4th Birthday Party

I will finally post about Alyssa's birthday party that was last Saturday. I have the time right now because Todd is cooking dinner tonight...in fact he is cooking for the fourth night in a row! AND we stopped for burgers Monday night after our chiropractor's appointment, so I have not cooked ALL week. One day I was at the dentist, one day the kids and I were down the street at a friends playing so he offered to cook, and the last two...I am just blessed...I love my dear husband!!

Anyways, Alyssa's party was a blast. She dressed up as Cinderella (that part is really no different than any other day of the week) and thought she was the princess of the day. Her cake didn't really go as I has hoped, but due to my untalented-ness I had to leave it to Meijer. I had planned to just switch the Barbie doll with a Cinderella one. Then thought I could just switch the heads (they apparently make the heads harder to come off since I was a child with brothers)...in the end Barbie landed a Cinderella crown and necklace and we left it at that. I know it was me worrying more than anything because Alyssa loved her Princess cake.
Here are some pictures of the day:

Princess Alyssa and her Princess cake.

Tons of princess presents! (We make a cake today in the Disney oven..not awful ;-)

A new brother...yep that's the only one she'll ever see! Like her fancy ponytail hair she got at Disney World?

Having tea with her new tea set (that I have temporarily hid...just for a day or two).

Our Family!

She had a great day...and so did we :)

Have a Great Weekend!!

Happy 4th Birthday Alyssa!!

Alyssa turned 4 today and I can not believe it! She is growing up so fast, here is a bit of her very busy day.

Playing with her balloons very early this morning.

Very excited about the Princess button that came on her card.

WOW!
A Princess bike!! (There is a whole other story why it is in the box and not put together)

Riding down the sidewalk.

We finally took her to Chuck E Cheese.

Ending the day with pink cupcakes...umm we actually started the day with them too :)
Happy 4th Birthday Squeaks, we love you very much!!
Love,
Daddy, Mommy and Aiden

Look what I can do!!

With one wave of my magic wand I can make water or ice appear all over the floor.

I can climb up onto a box in the middle of the room...

...or I can push it right next to the bar stool and climb up on that.
Maybe if Mommy would just leave me alone, I could actually get on top of the island too!!!

Did I mention how proud my Mommy is of me??

Have a Good Week!
Love, Aiden

We are back

We have been home for a week now and I still haven't updated this thing! I am afraid this won't be much of a post either. Aiden came home from Disney with a sinus infection, has only slept through the night a few times since back, but the last few in a row so I am hoping we are getting back to "normal". Before I let myself print vacation pictures, I made myself catch up on the last years worth of picture printing...Wal-Mart shipped me 642 pics last week dating back to last March. I still haven't figured out how I got so far behind. So now I am in the process of putting them in albums (over halfway there).
Our trip was amazing!! We had so much fun and beautiful sunny, warm (mostly) weather! I have decided it is not all good to take a vacation in the midst of winter, you still have to come back to dreary cold weather :(
Anyways, my favorite park was Magic Kingdom. Mostly because that is what awed Alyssa soo much. She lit up every time she saw a princess and I really think she felt she was the only one there with them. It was priceless to watch her expressions with all she was taking in. Aiden did great considering he was in a stroller most of his days. I am thankful Mom, Dad and Uncle Todd had an adjoining room so he did have a bit more space to run at the resort. Not to mention all the wonderful help they provided with the kids and our long days at the parks (Thanks soo much for coming). So here are a few pics to tide you over until I can put a slide show together...
Chip and Dale were definitely Aiden's favorite & Daddy's too.

I took Alyssa to Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast, it was in her castle...so fun! If you ask Alyssa what her favorite part of Disney was, she will answer "CINDERELLA!!" Call me crazy but I think maybe she could be a Cinderella someday???

Hmmmm, Aiden and ice cream. Always a picture of that boy and food! I think he enjoyed the parades and shows the most. Oh, and the safari at Animal Kingdom.

Don't give up on me, I will add more soon...
