Last week Todd surprised us and took a half day off work. So after picking Alyssa up from preschool and feeding the kids lunch he suggested we go to the park and zoo. "
Sure, that sounds fun" I said. (Thinking silently...really, right during nap time? We'll see how that goes.) So we left the house around 12:30 and of course Aiden was asleep moments down the road. We got to the park and he surprisingly continued to sleep when I put him in the stroller. And stayed asleep for the zoo and most of the time feeding the geese. He woke up happy and then we played on the playground as well. It was a beautiful day, but everyone else in the world must not of known it because the whole place was empty. Here are some pictures of the day:
Apparently the chilly weather makes all the animals lay in a pile at the entrance gate, but Alyssa just walked in and over them!

Since it was too cold to play in the water (although that didn't stop her from putting her shoe in the little fountain), she posed with the penguin.

So sometimes we really can mess with the precious nap time schedule and have a wonderful day. Did I mention Aiden took another 2 hour nap after we got home...like I said "Wonderful Day!!"
