Alyssa's Heart

I have had a lot on my mind this week. I won't go into detail, but wanted to share a moment. I was getting ready to fix lunch one day and Aiden was screaming, trying to climb my leg and I had a lot on my mind. I stopped what I was doing and closed my eyes and prayed. Alyssa saw me from the family room and came over to the island, climbed on the bar stool and said in a very quiet voice "Mommy, may I pray with you?" Wow, here is my 3 year old daughter that saw need in my face and wanted to join me in my prayer to our Sovereign God.
"Yes Alyssa, please pray with me."

Yes, there IS hope for our children and their generation...and we can offer it to them. Great example and reminder of our responsibilty as parents to set up priorities and a Godly example for our children's sakes. :-)
