A bit Unthankful

So as I sit here Todd is (hopefully) killing a snake that was on my front porch. We came downstairs and looked out the sidelight and I saw a really big....UGH, it is not a worm, but a little snake. But in my book no snakes are little and I am deathly afraid of them. Some of you will recall my incident with one in our backyard 2 years ago (at least I am not hyperventilating this time). Todd knows he must kill this serpent!! I took him our biggest kitchen butcher knife, but apparently he is unable to just cut his head off with that...I personally don't see the problem. So now he has asked me to give him a freezer bag? I told him (oh, he is holding it now) to go down the driveway and I will throw the bag out the front door. So now he has the snake in a freezer bag, in a Tupperware container that is taped shut with a brick on top and is going to put him out by the shed. He had better not get out and he better be dead in the morning. Now it is going to take me forever again to go out in the yard, especially since this one is a little one, there has to be a family right? I will hopefully be able to sleep :(

I might add that it is possible, Jakob, that you jinxed me with all your little rubber snakes and snake stories at Maw Maw's today...don't worry, I still love you!!!

How do you keep snakes away??

Okay, I had to look this one up, but the aroma of cedar is lethal to all snakes and non beneficial insects, so my guess is cedar oil or cedar mulch. Either way, it's a very sniffy repellant and non toxic to anyone. except the snake. PLUS, looks excellent in flower beds.
